As mamas, it’s so easy to get swept up in life and to forget to care for ourselves. We make sure everyone is taken care of and that everyone feels important. Sometimes we can forget how important we are. You are so worth it. Take the time to do something for yourself. Something that helps you to relax, and brings you a little bit of peace and joy.
Some self care tips for moms:
+ When was the last time that you read a book!? Actually read a book and not just listened to audible. Grab something for you. Even just sneaking in 10 minutes a day to read something that you enjoy can be so restorative!
+ Take a walk outside. A little fresh air, exercise and vitamin D help to relieve stress and get you feeling a little more like yourself again!
+ Make a music playlist that lifts your spirit and puts you in a good mood!
+ Speak positivity over yourself. Read affirmations to yourself, listen to an uplifting podcast, talk to a friend that forever has kind words for you. Let all the positivity fill your cup.
+ Make yourself a yummy treat! A hot coffee or maybe a delicious and warm chocolate chip cookie. There’s nothing like a mug of something cozy or something sweet to help you reset.
+ Take a moment to pamper yourself, a bubble bath, your skincare routine, throwing on some self tanner! Anything to reduce stress and to make you feel taken care of.
Self-care for moms doesn’t have to be fancy, but it has to be done!
Even if you don’t have the time for any of those options, you can do something as simple as taking some deep breaths, drinking a glass of water, and some loving words for yourself–know that you are so worthy of that love and kindness that you pour out for everyone else!
