I have always loved Valentine’s day of course for the love it brings out of people but more importantly for all the sweets 🙂 It’s not just a time to celebrate your romantic relationships but your girlfriends too! I decided to throw a roses and rosé brunch with my closest gals. To make it unique I partnered with Wilton to turn it into a cookie decorating party. What better way to celebrate love day than to Make Happy Happen Together! I loved all these other ideas for celebrating with Wilton here. by frosting roses on sugar cookies to share with your loved ones.
We filled the backyard with roses and greenery to surround the brunch and set the mood! It was a beautiful day, perhaps a little too hot to be frosting cookies outside but we made it work haha. My favorite part of the day was the punch bowl filled with pink lemonade and rose petal ice cubes. I made the ice cubes with Wilton’s silicon heart mold and some food grade rose petals. It was so easy and I just love how beautiful they turned out. We also obviously had lots of rosé flowing since it was a hot day and we had to stick with the theme 😉
For the actual brunch, I wanted to keep it simple with some bagels and strawberry cream cheese as well as a delicious quiche. Quiches are a staple for all of my brunches because they’re easy to make and easy to serve. Although I wanted to I can’t take credit for this one, Brocklan did an amazing job on it. It was filled with red pepper, mushrooms and spinach and it was a hit!
Each guest had a place setting filled with blank sugar cookies using these Valentine’s Day Cookie Cutters and Disposable Decorating Bags with Tips filled with my buttercream frosting recipe. I even made a few vegan and gluten-free cookies for my friend Sophia using this recipe. And the table was filled with all of Wilton’s Valentine sprinkles including my favorite pink sugar pearls and edible gold hearts. We all had so much fun decorating the cookies and getting to catch up. And I was seriously impressed by everyone’s sugar cookie decorating skills. All in all, I think we definitely Made Happy Happen Together with this Roses and Rosé Brunch and I already can’t wait for next year!

This is so gorgeous, and I bet you and your girlfriends had such a fun time! I also love the name of your blog. As a huge lover of donuts (eating and wearing them on clothes), my first thought was, I have found my blogging soulmate!

How fun! I’m having a Galentine’s brunch this weekend at a cute restaurant, but I kinda wanna host it at home so I can cook and we can do cute cookie decorating.
