Christmas may be over, but I am still eating these reindeer treats non-stop! Reindeer treats, muddy buddies, puppy show, whatever you want to call it this is my favorite treat year round. It’s also the perfect treat to leave out for the reindeer at Christmas. This chocolate peanut buttery snack is so good that you have to seriously restrain yourself from eating the whole batch. They disappear faster than it takes to make them, and they are one of the quickest treats to make so that’s saying something!

Reindeer Treats/ Muddy Buddies Recipe
- 10 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions:
-In a large bowl, measure the cereal and set aside.
-In large microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; then stir. Microwave about 1 minute longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.
-Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Separate into two large resealable food-storage plastic bag.
-Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Enjoy or refrigerate until ready to eat!
