My Reading Nook + My January Reading List
Working from home can sometimes make it difficult to separate my home life and work life. It can be easy to let the stress of work seep into my relaxation time. I try my best to not bring work into the bedroom. I have a desk upstairs but I only use it for when I want to sit down and write for me, not for anyone else. This keeps my room a little safe haven that is home and not filled with any outside stresses.
When I first moved in I didn’t quite know what to do with the space. It was bigger than my bedrooms in the past and there was much more room for just a bed and a dresser. I found this chair on sale, had it recovered with my favorite fabric, and threw a little sheepskin on it. You’ll notice this blue fabric all throughout my home, maybe a little too much! It felt nice to have a place to sit in my room other than the bed.
When I’m feeling a little overwhelmed I come to this spot to decompress. It serves as my thinking chair, my reading nook, my morning coffee spot, and sometimes it’s where I pile my clean clothes haha. I find myself going upstairs to this spot more and more lately. I think it’s important for everyone to have a space like this, but especially if you work from home.
I read quite a bit in this chair and it’s actually a goal of mine to read a lot more this year. Here are a few books I have up next for my January Reading list:
What’s on your reading list this month?!
