Christmas time is the perfect time, in my opinion, to have a Harry Potter Holiday Movie Night because it’s all about the strong bond between friends and being there for each other no matter what. They are such feel-good movies and just make you want to hug your friends a little tighter. And there is nothing better than baby Ron Weasley saying, “Happy Christmas Harry!” In his little British accent. This night was actually inspired by one of my favorite mugs from Chalkful of Love. She has the most darling mugs and best smelling candles. This Hogwarts Christmas mug just put me in the mood to have a cozy night in watching one of the best holiday movies of all time!
I wanted to make this more than just your average movie night. Of course, we had to have popcorn and candy but during the holidays you’re allowed to indulge a little more so the night was filled with a popcorn station, a spooky goblet cocktail, and lots of sweets. My favorite movie night treat is always the classic muddy buddies or should I say muggle buddies…? Still coming up for a name on the theme for those haha. My recipe a little different than the normal one people make from the back of the box so you can check it out down below. There were also these incredible themed sugar cookies that were so adorable and also seriously tasty. Lastly, I made some super festive gingerbread cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and topped with the most adorable harry potter cupcake toppers!
Who wants to sit through a movie night without a delicious drink in hand? We had lots of wine along with my favorite Pomegranate Polyjuice Potion. I added some dry ice to it for some extra effects. The recipe was a huge hit and definitely a fun one to incorporate.
I loved cuddling up with friends and enjoying this night together watching Harry Potter. It was truly such a treat. Also, 10 points to Gryffindor for getting my pup to sit for a few pics haha! I hope you guys enjoyed this little shindig. Can’t wait for next years Harry Potter Holiday Movie Night!
What holiday parties are you guys throwing? I’d love to hear! Check out last years Wine and Wrap party!
