Christmas may be over but I still haven’t taken off my furry reindeer slippers! I have really been loving spending time with my family curled up in sweatpants, drinking endless cups of coffee in Cleveland. I hope everyone has been enjoying family time during this holiday as well! Along with all the coffee drinking, I haven’t stopped baking all of my favorite Christmas treats!

You how people feel about pumpkin spice during fall? Well that’s me with gingerbread. I’m actually not the biggest fan of pumpkin in general but gingerbread has me hooked. It all started with my great Grandma Estelle’s gingerbread man recipe which is a secret 😉 but these gingerbread donuts come pretty darn close.
Not only are these gingerbread donuts delicious but they’re pretty easy to make. Below is the recipe…try them out for yourself!
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk low-fat ok
- 1/3 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
-Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease 2 6-count donut pans.
-In a medium bowl, combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
-In a separate large bowl, whisk together coconut oil and brown sugar.
-Whisk in molasses. Add egg, and whisk to combine.
-Add milk and yogurt; whisk until well-combined.
-Add flour mixture, and whisk until just combined.
-Scoop into donut pans and bake for about 14-18 minutes.
-In a wide, shallow dish, stir together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and ginger. Dip the tops and bottoms of warm donuts into the mixture.
I hope you enjoy! What gingerbread treats do you guys like?
