Ford’s One Month Update
My Lil pumpkin donut is one month old!! Holy smokes, where the heck did the time go? Between not sleeping, changing what feels like 1700 diapers a day and lot’s and lot’s of crying, this month has been a bit of a blur.
Our little man is the greatest blessing in the world and while we still have a lot to learn about him, here’s what we’ve figured out so far:
Ford is happiest in the morning. I wake up and give him as many nose kisses as he’ll allow and contemplate eating his little face sometimes because it’s just too cute. He’ll smile at us and try his hardest to talk to us. Waking up to him in the mornings make those long nights so worth it.
He loves going on walks in the baby carrier or the stroller. He also loves his Graco swing and will fall asleep in any of those almost instantly with his sound machine.
We’ve started a little tummy time on his play mat in the mornings and he just stares at all the fishies and gets his little workout in with no complaints! Read my Registry Must-Haves post for some of our other favorites.
He hates being naked! Whether you’re changing his diaper or giving him a bath he is miserable until you get him dressed and hold him tight. That makes bath time and those nighttime changes a little stressful but we’ll get through it!
I am pretty much exclusively pumping so we have been doing paced bottle feeding and he gets so mad when we have to take breaks from the bottle. This guy loves his milky and nobody better get in the way of that!
Lastly, he still has his days and nights confused π we have been trying to keep him on a good schedule (which I’ll share with you guys soon) to get it fixed, but it’s taking some time. Nights are pretty rough with him waking up constantly and being super fussy for no reason.
I can honestly say though as hard as it all is, I have never been happier. We are still figuring out our new normal but it has been so rewarding and I feel like this was my purpose all along. I can’t wait to learn more about him and watch him grow every day! But also, I kind of would be okay if he stopped growing and stayed this little forever. I hope you enjoyed Ford’s One Month Update…keep your eyes peeled for more updates soon!

He is so cute! I feel the same way about my babies – it is hard as heck – but totally worth it and makes me so happy, too!
