Essential Oils
I have been using essential oils for a few years now and they are life-changing. I keep my diffuser on my nightstand and I’ll use it before going to bed and when I wake up in the mornings. I have gone through many diffusers and this one I got from Goop has to be my absolute favorite because it’s actually aesthetically pleasing. I also feel like a little scientist mixing up my oil concoctions. Essential oils are fun to experiment with and customize based on your needs like relaxation, aiding digestion, or cold relief.
Here are a few of my favorite oils and what I use them for:
- Peppermint & Eucalyptus oils help when I’m sick, especially with a bad cough. Peppermint is also amazing for when I get headaches or nausea. For preventive measures, I diffuse Thieves when I feel a cold starting or everyone around me is sick. It works like a charm.
- DiGize oil is amazing because it helps when you are suffering from bloating, cramps, etc… It’s not only fast acting when you’re not feeling so hot but it’s actually good for you. You can rub a little on your stomach or put a few drops in some ginger tea. Later Pepto Bismol… I promise you’ll thank me for this one!
- Frankincense oil pretty much does everything, in other words, everything I am lacking or obsessed with worrying about. It reduces wrinkles and inflammation, fights colds and depression, is a stress reliever, a muscle relaxer & so much more!
- Oils are truly incredible. I love using them to set the mood when I’m working in the morning with peppermint or to wind down at night with some lavender. They instantly shift your mood.
A Little Gratitude
After I do my nighttime skincare routine I usually light up my diffuser, read a little bit and then write in my five-minute journal. I’m sure most of you have heard of this journal as it’s gotten super popular, but it has seriously helped me keep a positive and grateful attitude towards life even when things aren’t going my way. We are only here for a short while so instead of getting caught up in the negatives it’s good to take a few minutes each night and express what we are grateful for. You can find the book below and add it to your nighttime or morning routine to get your day started on the right foot! You can check out my post on Gratitude here.

What a great night time routine! I can’t live without my essential oils – I love diffusing them before bed too

I’ve never used essential oils. I’ve heard great things about the things that they can be used for. I’m going to try some because I love that it’s a natural way to heal different issues.
