Cliffs of Moher
It’s always been on my bucket list to travel to the Cliffs of Moher. Brocklan and I both have family that came over from Ireland so this part of our Europe trip meant quite a bit to both of us. My mom’s side of the family is Irish and it always fascinated me to hear about our rich family history. My grandma Shirley’s maiden name was Foley and although the Foley’s weren’t from the area of Clare County that we visited, I could picture them somewhere similar back in the day. As we were driving through the beautiful rolling greens filled with cows and castles I felt a huge rush of emotion come over me. The only way I can describe it is that it felt like home. I felt at peace. I know that my grandma was with me while we were in Ireland and it was such a blessing to be able to experience this with my love.
If seeing the Cliffs of Moher isn’t on your bucket list I absolutely recommend it. It was truly breathtaking. No photo will do it justice. If you do make the journey, I recommend going later in the day. We went at the perfect time in the late afternoon. All of the tour buses had left for the day so it wasn’t as crowded as it normally is. More to come soon from our amazing trip to Europe! Are you traveling soon?
