Baby Pledger is hatching in September!
Brocklan and I were definitely not expecting this pregnancy but we are so ready for it. It’s been a little crazy since we found out in January, but it’s all started to sink in now that I’m just over 4 months along and we couldn’t be more excited to share the news with everyone!!
My first trimester was a doozy. Like I’m telling you 24/7 nausea and not getting out of bed 23 hours of the day kind of bad. Plus my extreme food aversions made it all even harder to handle. Because I was feeling so sick and helpless there was also a lot of struggling with my emotions. I felt super off, like all of my excitement and motivation for the things I love to do weren’t there anymore. I couldn’t find a middle ground between feeling blessed and happy to have this beautiful gift and feeling so down and lonely. I hadn’t told my family yet and it was just Brocklan and me trying to get through this time. I am so beyond grateful for him. He was the absolute best during this time and I feel so lucky to have such a supportive partner along this journey with me. That first trimester may have been rough, but I would do it a million times over to grow this little baby inside of me. Once my second trimester hit, it was like I flipped a switch. I feel so great now and am loving watching my bump grow every day! I just have to make sure I don’t miss my 9 pm bedtime every night 😉
I always wanted to be a mother, just didn’t expect it quite this soon. Life never happens the way you expect it to though and we couldn’t be more grateful. We cannot wait to bring a little nugget into the world in September!
Let me know if you have any advice or must-dos before the baby comes!
